These terms apply to families and individuals who use the Tinalas Home Care Registry to find non-medical care. By creating an account you agree to them. Caregivers are covered by the separate Caregiver Agreement.

1. What Tinalas is, and what it is not

Tinalas operates a registry that introduces families to independent caregivers and coordinates the arrangement between them. Tinalas is not a healthcare provider, a home health agency, or a medical service, and it does not employ the caregivers listed in the registry. All care offered through Tinalas is non-medical: companionship, personal care, household help, childcare, pet care, tutoring and errands. No caregiver introduced through Tinalas may provide medical or nursing services.

If you need medical care, contact a licensed provider. In an emergency, call 911.

2. Vetting, and its limits

Before a caregiver appears in the registry we verify their identity, contact the references they provide, review their stated credentials and run a background check. The Tinalas Verified badge means those checks were completed at the time of approval.

No screening process is perfect. A background check reflects records available at the time it was run and may not reveal everything about a person. Tinalas does not guarantee the character, honesty, ability, or suitability of any caregiver. You are responsible for meeting a caregiver, forming your own judgement, and deciding whether to proceed.

3. Membership and what it gives you

Browsing the registry is free. A paid membership unlocks full caregiver profiles, the vetting detail on each profile, and the ability to send care requests through our team.

Membership does not guarantee that a caregiver will be available, will accept your request, or will be a suitable match. It buys access and coordination, not an outcome.

4. Pricing and automatic renewal

Premium is $29. Annual is $199.

Your membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the same price, and your card is charged without further action by you. It continues until you cancel.

You may cancel at any time from your account page or by emailing Staffing@tinalascare.com. Cancelling stops the next charge. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

5. The hourly rate

The hourly rate shown on a caregiver profile is the rate you pay. It is all inclusive: it covers the caregiver’s own pay and the Tinalas service that arranges, coordinates and supports the placement. There is no placement fee, no booking fee and nothing added at the end.

Hours are agreed in advance, logged by our team, and billed to you for the hours actually worked.

6. All contact runs through Tinalas

Families and caregivers do not contact each other directly. Every conversation is arranged and relayed by our team, which is how we keep the arrangement documented and supported.

You agree not to seek or accept a private arrangement with a caregiver you were introduced to through Tinalas, outside the Tinalas arrangement. Doing so may result in your membership being ended.

7. Your responsibilities

You agree to give accurate information about your care needs, to provide a safe environment, to treat caregivers with respect, and to raise any concern with us promptly so we can address it. You are responsible for securing valuables and for any access you give to your home.

8. Caregivers are independent contractors

Caregivers introduced through Tinalas are independent contractors. They are not employees of Tinalas. Depending on the arrangement you may have obligations of your own under federal, state or local law. Tinalas does not give tax or employment law advice, and you should take your own advice if you are unsure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Tinalas is not liable for the acts or omissions of any caregiver, for any loss, injury or damage arising from a placement, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you is limited to the membership fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending your membership

You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, that puts a caregiver at risk, or that attempts to arrange care outside the platform.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Tinalas after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute will be heard in the courts of that state.
