Companionship

General companionship for anyone who is often alone

Not every person who needs company needs care. General companions spend time with adults of any age who are well but isolated, offering conversation, outings and a dependable presence in the week.

Frequently asked

How is this different from senior companion care?
Senior companion care sits alongside personal care needs such as mobility or medication reminders. General companionship is purely social and practical, for adults of any age who are well but often alone. Many people start here and only add care later, if ever.
Is this only for older people?
No. We arrange companions for adults of any age, including people recovering at home, working from home in isolation, living with a long-term condition, or new to the area.
How often do most people book?
Commonly two to three visits a week of two to four hours. Some families book a single weekly afternoon, others want daily company. It is agreed directly with your companion.
Do companions provide personal care?
No. If personal care such as bathing or dressing is needed, that falls under senior or adult care and we will match you with a caregiver qualified for it.
