This policy explains what Tinalas collects, why, who sees it, and what control you have.

What we collect

From families: your name, email, phone, ZIP code, the care you are looking for, your messages with our team, and your membership and billing history.

From caregivers: your name, contact details, service area, languages, experience, rates, availability, profile photo, resume, certifications, references, and the outcome of your background check.

Automatically: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and cookie data used to keep you logged in and to understand how the site is used.

Payment information

Tinalas never sees or stores your card number. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and your card details go directly to Stripe. We keep only a record that a payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference. Stripe handles that data under its own privacy policy.

Why we use it

To create and run your account, to verify caregivers, to match families with caregivers, to coordinate placements, to take payment, to send service emails about your account, to meet our legal obligations, and to keep the platform safe.

Who we share it with

The other party in a placement. When a family and a caregiver are matched, each sees what is needed to make the arrangement work. Private contact details are not shared; all contact is relayed by our team.

Service providers. Stripe for payments, our background check provider, our email provider, and our hosting provider. Each receives only what it needs.

Legal. Where the law requires it, or to protect someone from harm.

We do not sell your personal information.

Background checks

Caregivers consent to a background check as part of applying. Results are used only to decide whether to list a profile and to display the Tinalas Verified badge. The underlying report is not published and is not shown to families.

How long we keep it

Account and placement records are kept while your account is open and for as long as we need them afterwards to meet tax, accounting and legal obligations. Applications that are not approved are kept for a limited period and then deleted.

Your rights

You may ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You may also ask us to stop sending marketing email at any time. Email Staffing@tinalascare.com and we will respond.

If you are a California resident you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what is collected, the right to deletion, the right to correction, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Children

Tinalas is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Where care is arranged for a child, the information is provided by the parent or guardian.

Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls and reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.
