This policy covers the three things anyone pays for on Tinalas.

1. Family membership

Premium is $29 and Annual is $199. Both renew automatically until cancelled.

Cancel any time. Cancelling stops the next charge, and your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.

We do not refund part of a period you have already started. If you were charged after cancelling, or charged twice, tell us and we will refund it in full.

First charge: if you cancel within 48 hours of your very first payment and have not sent a care request, we will refund that payment in full.

2. Hours of care

You are billed for the hours a caregiver actually worked, at the all inclusive rate shown on their profile.

If you believe the hours are wrong, tell us within 7 days of the statement. We will check the record with you and the caregiver and correct it if it is wrong. Hours that were genuinely worked are not refundable, but if care fell short we will work with you to put it right, which may include a credit or a replacement caregiver.

3. Caregiver verification fee

There is no charge to apply. If your application is not approved, you owe nothing and nothing is taken.

If your application is approved, a one time $25 verification fee becomes due. You may pay it by card or have it taken off the first payment Tinalas makes to you.

Once your profile is live the fee is not refundable, because the background check and vetting it pays for have already been carried out. It is a fee for verification and listing. It does not buy a job, and it is not refunded if no family selects you.

If you paid the fee and we then removed your profile for a reason that was our fault rather than yours, we will refund it.

How to ask for a refund

Email Staffing@tinalascare.com with your name, the charge, and what happened. We respond within two business days. Approved refunds go back to the original card and usually appear within five to ten business days.

Chargebacks

Please talk to us before raising a dispute with your bank. Almost everything is quicker to fix directly, and we would rather sort it out than argue it.
