Tinalas is a registry that connects caregivers with families. It is not an employer and it is not a job guarantee. Version 1.1.
Tinalas does not guarantee work
Registering with Tinalas, being verified, and appearing in the registry do not guarantee that you will be offered work, and do not guarantee any amount of work, hours or income. Families choose who they want. Tinalas does not hire you and cannot promise that any family will select you.
The verification fee, and when it applies
Applying to Tinalas is free and you are never charged to be reviewed. If your application is not approved, you owe nothing. If it is approved, a one time verification fee becomes due. It covers your background check and the vetting behind the Tinalas Verified badge. You may pay it by card, or leave it and Tinalas will take it off the first payment we make to you, in cash or by bank transfer. It is a fee for verification and listing only. It is not a fee for a job, it does not buy placement or priority, and once your profile is live it is not refundable.
Families select, Tinalas coordinates
Tinalas introduces caregivers to families and coordinates the arrangement. The decision to engage you rests entirely with the family. Tinalas may also decline to list or may remove a profile at its discretion.
All contact runs through Tinalas
Every conversation between a family and a caregiver is arranged and relayed by Tinalas. You agree not to seek or accept direct engagement with a family you were introduced to outside the Tinalas arrangement, and not to share private contact details through the platform.
Your rate and the Tinalas margin
You tell Tinalas the hourly rate you wish to earn, and that is the rate you are paid for the hours you work. Tinalas adds its own service margin on top of your rate and charges the total to the family. The margin is charged to the family and is not deducted from your pay. The current margin is shown on your dashboard and you will be told before it changes.
You are responsible for your own status and taxes
Unless you are given a separate written agreement stating otherwise, you are not an employee of Tinalas. You are responsible for your own tax affairs and for holding any licence, registration or certification the law requires for the care you provide.
Accuracy and conduct
Everything you tell Tinalas about your experience, references, certifications and eligibility to work must be true. Giving false information is grounds for immediate removal from the registry without refund.
Leaving the registry
You may ask for your profile to be removed at any time. Fees already paid are not refunded on removal.
